Wildberries counterparties filed thirteen lawsuits for 80 million rubles to the retailer

In early 2015, the Wildberries online retailer received thirteen lawsuits to the arbitration courts of Moscow and the Moscow Region for a total of about eighty million rubles. The main part of the claims of counterparties - late payments for services rendered to the company and late payment for goods, writes RBC .

The company "Growth", engaged in factoring , requires to recover from Wildberries debt and penalty in two lawsuits. With the suppliers of Bosca LLC Ryeline LLC and the freight carrier Slavyansky Vektor LLC LLC, Wildberries entered into world-wide agreements. The seller of children's goods LLC Azaria entered into a settlement agreement with Wildberries after paying off the last debt of 3.5 million rubles from 2012.

Entrepreneur Roman Ptitsyn, a supplier of Greyder and Friendly shoes, filed lawsuits demanding to pay off the debt of 12.3 million rubles and demanding the return of 758 thousand rubles for using other people's money. The court decided that Wildberries should pay 13.3 million to Ptitsyn.

The interlocutors of RBC said that one of the reasons for the claims to the Wildberries was the company's transition at the end of 2014 to the payment scheme after the sale of goods. Previously, the company worked with a deferred payment of up to ninety days. Representatives of Wildberries argue that the transition to such a scheme is implemented in order to give Russian designers a chance without increasing the budget for the purchase of goods.

Vladimir Bakin, head of the Department of Economics and Finance Wildberries, argues that such a scheme of work is additional, but not the main one, and links claims against the company with an increase in business and the completion of contracts with suppliers.

Wildberries, as of February 2015, is one of the largest Internet companies in Russia according to Forbes. The store's revenue, according to Infoline, as of June 2015 is 18.8 billion rubles, which puts the retailer in sixth place in the ranking of the largest Russian retailers .
