Internet company Yahoo has closed a deal to acquire the
Polyvore site, which helps users find a uniform style of clothing and accessories. The service was founded in 2007,
writes The Verge. The amount of the transaction is not disclosed, but it must be substantial even for such a large corporation as Yahoo.
The team of the purchased project moved to Yahoo, as reported by the executive director of the Internet company Simon Khalaf.
Yahoo executive Marissa Meyer has worked for quite a long time with Jesse Lee, the founder and CEO of Polyvore. The collaboration began in the early 2000s, when Meyer invited Lee to work at Google. Polyvore also collaborated with Yahoo Style.
