Booking.com will transfer the personal data of users to a data center owned by
IXcellerate . It is located on Altufevskoe highway in Moscow. The agreement between the companies has already been reached. Booking.com will store there passport information of Russians and information about their bank cards used when booking.
Autonomous data center IXcellerate on Altufevskoe highway was
opened in Moscow in 2012. The total area of the data center is 15 thousand square meters. In 2012,
IFC became the company's shareholder, which invested $ 2.6 million. Since 2014, the Japanese
Sumitomo Group has become the investor of the company. She invested at least $ 4 million in IXcellerate, Kommersant
reports . The center employs 13 different operators.
