IBM unilaterally terminated a partnership agreement with NVision Group in mid-July. Now an IT integrator is not entitled to supply IBM hardware and software. However, existing contracts for technical support for IBM products remain with NVision Group.
The partnership agreement was terminated just before the purchase of NVision by MTS from AFK Sistema . As a result, the minority shareholders of MTS and AFK “Sistema” found the acquisition unprofitable. However, the operator still bought 100% of the company for 15 billion rubles.
According to the representative of MTS, Dmitry Solodovnikov, the share of NVision's business associated with an American corporation is very small. And the termination of cooperation with IBM, in his opinion, has a “political and economic context,” Kommersant reports .
