Service Sergei Petrossov to order private flights has raised $ 20 million

The service for booking private flights JetSmarter , raised $ 20 million in a round V. The founder of the service is the Russian Sergey Petrossov.

Investors were the Prince of Saudi Arabia, rapper Jay Z , as well as top managers of Goldman Sachs and Twitter . The funds raised will be partly directed to the opening of units in Asia and South America. Another part of the funds will be used to expand the geography of routes for customers, reports Business Insider.

According to Mr. Petrossov, this investment round has become special. Most investors were already clients of the service, so the entrepreneur did not need to engage in searching and negotiating with potential investors.

JetSmarter uses a subscription model for monetization. Unlimited access to flights costs $ 9,000 per year, or about $ 800 per month.

Today, there are two versions of the JetSmarter application - for iOS and for Android OS. The application allows you to choose one of three types of services: simple booking of flights in one direction or another (JetDeals), ordering one seat in a multi-seater private plane with a route already defined (JetShuttle) and a fully personalized choice of route, direction and type of aircraft (JetCharter).
