American Express Joins National Payment System
American Express Company has agreed with the National Payment Card System (NSPK) on cooperation. The essence of the partnership is the release of joint maps "Mir" -AMEX, writes NSPK. In Russia, such cards will be accepted as cards of the Mir payment system, and in other countries - as AMEX cards.
The first partnership agreement with NPCK was signed by MasterCard, the contract was concluded this month. In addition, in July, a contract was signed with Japan Credit Bureau (JCB), Japan’s largest payment system.
The national payment card system was launched on April 1 of this year. Cards of the domestic payment system, according to the plan, will be issued at the end of 2015.
