In honor of its twentieth anniversary, Amazon
spent an unprecedented sale. July 15, users ordered 398 products per second. Prime Day's retailer sales exceeded the 2014
Black Friday results by 18%. And compared with Prime Day last year, the number of orders increased by 266%.
Amazon’s
Prime program costs $ 99 per year. During the promotion, users purchased 34.4 million products,
according to a press release from the company. During Prime Day, the program recorded a record number of new users. This inflow has never been in the entire twenty-year history of Amazon.
However, not all buyers were satisfied with the action,
writes Time. Some of them complained that the goods at reduced prices were sold in limited quantities. In addition, many were outraged by the abundance of useless in their opinion goods on sale. Some users compared it to a garage sale and even
called Prime Day the
worst sale of all time.
