Regnum will sell its blocking stake

Rumor has it that the Regnum news agency will sell 25% and one share to an investor far from the media today. According to information received from the Finam.Ru website, the transaction is progressing quite successfully - all the necessary informal approvals have recently been received on such a specific market, and the period for evaluating Regnum's assets is coming.

Presumably the deal will be concluded officially in two or three months. The money received will be used to expand the agency’s activities (with an undisguised focus on the elections of this and the next year).
