SAP will sell its products in Russia for rubles

SAP has announced the transition to rubles in Russia - now all price tags for the company's products will be converted to rubles by the end of this week. The corresponding statement was made by the General Director of SAP CIS Vyacheslav Orekhov, Vedomosti writes . According to the company, customers who work in the ruble zone, it will be much easier to make transactions in rubles. At the same time, the pricing policy will be based not only on the conversion of the ruble rate from the euro, but it is planned to set individual prices for various product categories. Note that SAP is switching to the national currency not only in Russia - in Ukraine and Kazakhstan, settlements in UAH and tenge have been made for about a year. In other CIS countries, it is planned to maintain a sales scheme in currency.

In January of this year, the management of SAP announced the introduction of a new system of settlements with customers for technical support - with a fixed exchange rate of euro 53.5 rubles. Technical support for the company's products accounts for about 25% of the “SAP CIS”. At present, the fixed rate is slightly higher - 58.7 rubles / euro. This course is fixed indefinitely.

The SAP annual report on Form 20-F states that the “SAP CIS” currency revenue (for the most part, this is developer's revenue in the Russian Federation) decreased by 16.5% to 317.7 million euros. At the same time, ruble revenue increased slightly. Interestingly, in Switzerland, SAP has been working with Swiss francs, and the prices of the company's products in this country have not changed for more than 7 years, despite the appreciation of the Swiss currency against the euro by more than 30%.

According to representatives of the domestic business, the transfer of SAP price tags to rubles is positive news for Russian companies. This allows you to introduce a predictability factor in the cost of implementing and maintaining business process management software.
