Last week, the GAZ group, owned by Oleg Deripaska, sent a letter to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov. The letter indicates the request to “ensure participation” of the company in the plans of the agency for the development of an unmanned vehicle,

For example, now there are "equipped with an automated control system" "Gazelle". In addition, with the support of GAZ competitions of robots “Robokross” are held.
Now, the company's specialists are planning to start implementing a project on "developing a promising automated driver assistance system." According to the sources of the online newspaper Kommersant, the company appealed to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as "the state is really ready to support projects to develop unmanned vehicles, including through subsidies." However, so far only the allocation of money for the development of unmanned KamAZ was discussed (interviews with the developers of this system
were published on Geektimes ).
The Ministry of Economy confirmed the fact that GAZ applied to the Ministry of Industry and Trade to include the KamAZ unmanned system in the state subsidy program. However, now the company has to finalize a comprehensive business plan of the project, with the definition of the timing of subsidies.
