Despite the fact that the so-called “law on the right to oblivion” has not yet entered into force, people have already appeared who are trying to use the provisions of the law to their advantage. Thus, the director of NP "Information Culture" Ivan Begtin on his Facebook
reported that he received a request to remove from his site "irrelevant information" from one of the former candidates for deputies,
writes Tjournal. At the same time, according to Begtin, only the research base on the composition and candidates of the 2011 convocation Council was published on the resource.
After the request, Begtin asked the author to confirm his identity, and also provide a link to a specific law, according to which the politician wants to delete his information.
The founder of the NextGIS project, Maxim Dubinin, took part in the discussion of this issue. He said that he had been threatened with a court “for disclosing personal data received — attention, drumming — from the open data portal of Moscow.”
“Our service, which monitors the portal and archives all changes, kept what seemed to the person to be wrong. Will there be enough popcorn on everyone, ”said Dubinin.
