In only 22 regions of Russia, more than 35% of citizens use electronic public services. The leader was the Ural region. There, this figure reached 47%. And in the North Caucasus, it does not exceed 17%. However, the government planned to reach this level throughout the country by 2015. But for such common procedures as obtaining a passport and registering a car, the state duty remained the same. “We need to figure out whether we can use this reduction in fees for the whole range of electronic services,” the Prime Minister said at a meeting of the Government Commission on the use of information technologies to improve the quality of life and business conditions.
The authorities also expect that the development and popularization of information technologies will have a positive effect on the labor mobility of Russians. To this end, a project to create a portal and an all-Russian base of vacancies "Work in Russia" was launched . The authorities believe that the portal will allow applicants to find work in other regions. Thus, specialists will be redistributed throughout the country, receiving more favorable working conditions. On the other hand, the artificial shortage of certain specialists in certain regions will decrease. After all, now the applicants will be sent exactly where they are most needed.
