The Yandex.Money service turns into a universal payment system

A new version of the Yandex.Money mobile application for iOS has been launched. Now, to pay for services through Yandex.Money, it is not necessary to register an electronic wallet - a bank card will suffice. Thus, the service gradually turns into a payment system.

The new application, like its previous version, allows you to pay for cellular communication, Internet, utility services and other services, according to the website of the service.

If desired, the user can create an electronic wallet. Then he will be able to get discounts or order a Yandex.Money bank card.

This function began to be tested in 2013. It was implemented as part of the “City Payments” service . With it, payment was made for utilities, cellular communications, the Internet and various services for receipts.

For business, for which it is important to accept non-cash payments, not only online, but also offline, Yandex.Money has a mobile acquiring solution - mPOS terminals.

According to the company, owners of iOS-based devices make about 35% of mobile payments through Yandex.Money. In 2014, the share of payments from mobile devices in the total turnover of the service increased by one and a half times.
