Luxoft contributed 536 developers from Russia and Ukraine to Europe

Luxoft , one of the most well-known software developers, has already transported 536 developers from Russia and Ukraine to Europe. New employees now work in Poland, Romania and Bulgaria, Vedomosti reports. Luxoft reported this in its financial report for 2015. In the new fiscal year, the company plans to attract as many developers from Russia and Ukraine.

The move itself is carried out under the Global Upgrade program, which allows reducing the operational and macroeconomic risks of the company. According to the management, the company plans to ensure that no more than 25% of the staff work in each of the offices. Now 42% of Luxoft employees work in Ukraine, although a year earlier this figure reached 49%. In Russia, no more than 25% of employees work, versus 30% a year earlier.

The Global Upgrade program was announced at the end of May last year, even before the ruble fell against the dollar. Luxoft CEO Dmitry Loshchinin explained the need to introduce a relocation program for employees to reduce the risks to the company's business, since Luxoft customers became concerned about the problem of events in Ukraine and sanctions against Russia.
