The streaming service
Apple Music is officially launched in Russia. Earlier it was known about Apple’s plans to launch the service on June 30 in one hundred countries of the world.
For Russians, the cost of a monthly subscription to the service is 169 rubles (about $ 3). The cost of a family (up to five people) subscription is 269 rubles (about $ 5) per month. This cost is comparable to the cost of similar services in Russia:
“Yandex.Music” - 149 rubles,
Google Play Music - 189 rubles,
Zvooq - 150 rubles,
Deezer - 199 rubles.
According to the Director General of
Warner Music Russia, Alexander Blinov, this is the biggest launch of a music streaming service in our country.
Apple iTunes is the largest digital music store in Russia. Of course, this does not directly imply that the new streaming service will become popular. However, along with the widespread use of the iPhone and iPad, this is a favorable factor.
