Belarusian startup Kino-Mo received $ 230,000 from Richard Branson
The company Virgin Media Business has supported the Belarusian project Kino-Mo, providing $ 230,000 as marketing support. The project won first place, while Richard Branson himself, the founder and head of Virgin, noted it. The Kino-Mo device is a device capable of displaying volumetric images thanks to a system of rotating blades and LEDs placed on the blades.
The technology has a lot in common with some illumination systems for bicycles, but the Kino-Mo device does give volume images, not two-dimensional ones. By the way, the developers of the image generation system for bicycle wheels are also members of the Kino-Mo team.
The founders are two natives of Brest, Kirill Chikeuk and Artem Stavenko. According to the authors of the project, the cost of such a projection device is much less than analogues. In addition to the cash prize, the project team receives free assistance from business consultants to launch the project throughout the year.
