“Passion” by World of Warcraft and Blizzard

Blizzard has finally launched a Russian-language version of the World of Warcraft game site. So far, however, not all sections of the site work (the difference between the English and Russian versions is noticeable) and many menu elements have not been translated. But the first step is the hardest.



In addition, beta testing of the game itself, already translated into Russian, begins today. Here, too, all is not well: information about such incidents as literal and literal translation of names and geographical names leaked from the company's depths. Occupations like "Undercities" (the capital of the undead Undercity) and "Gadget" (the city of goblins Gadgetzan) clearly cut off the rumor.



There is news about court cases. In particular, regarding the proceedings between Blizzard and the authors of the utility WoWGlider (now MMOGlider) by MDY. The court found that WoWGlider (a program that allows WoW characters to swing offline) violates the terms of use of World of Warcraft and infringes on the copyright of Blizzard itself. So in the near future, the utility will be banned, and MDY, most likely, will be punished financially.

And Blizzard has already officially (shareholders and regulators have expressed their “approval”) with Activision.
