Deputies of the State Duma and Russian Internet companies decided to “soften” the bill on the “right to oblivion” to the second reading. Its essence is to allow users to demand removal from the search results of links to inaccurate, outdated (more than three years) or “distributed in violation of the law” information about them.
From the project, remove the item about outdated information. Applicants will also be required to provide the exact URL of the information they are asking to remove. Moreover, the applicant can hope that the information will be deleted only if his first name and last name are mentioned there.

“The proposals will be taken into account when finalizing the document, mutual consultations and work on the text of the draft law will continue,” the creators of the draft law said.
Amendments must be submitted by June 21. After the second reading it will be possible to make corrections only.
