The Belgian Privacy Commission filed a lawsuit against
Facebook . The Belgian authorities are unhappy with the social network's policy regarding the personal data of users. This also applies to tracking their behavior on third-party resources.
In its
report, the commission expressed fears that Facebook is violating European law, engaging in spying on users and using the information obtained to demonstrate advertising to a particular target audience.
Representatives of the social network claim that they only use cookies on web browsers. And the user has the right to disable this feature. They are confident that there are no grounds for the trial,

Similar accusations were made to Facebook by regulators from Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.
