Web standards: WaSP announced the creation of an International Contact Group

The oldest and most respected web standardist project ( WaSP ), bringing together prominent web developers, launched an initiative to create the WaSP International Contact Group (WaSP International Liaison Group - ILG).

ILG mission

The international contact group at WaSP (WaSP International Liaison Group - ILG) is an international team of web professionals who promote the widespread use of standards to build a fair Web.

ILG tasks

The WaSP ILG Contact Group (WaSP ILG) includes representatives of the fullest possible number of countries in the world. Group members are designed to solve the following tasks:

· Discussion and informing the public about web standards and accessibility issues, taking into account customs and laws in specific countries and / or regions.
· Publication of multilingual educational information
· Providing web standards resources — blogs, books, articles, presentations, code examples, designs, concepts, and guides.
· Internationalization of important documents and resources for public use.
· Supporting and intensifying international discussions about the Web
· Exploring the current and future use of the Web in a global context.
