Nonsense, which I did to get traffic to the blog

Cross post from blogrock.ru
I am sure that when you started your blog, you often used the most insane ways to draw attention to it. Recently on the Digital Point forum, a guy was promoting his site (which actually was a set of ads from Google), offering one-cent paypal payment to anyone who goes to the site. Of course, I went to the site and in a couple of days I received my cent.

What strange things I tried to promote the site?

1. I made flyers for my blog, which I distributed to 20 laundries. After 2 days they were nowhere to be found.
')
2. Changed start pages in browsers to the hosts on my blog for all computers in the library and on my work.

3. Placed a link to my blog in all groups on Myspace, MSN, Yahoo and Google, devoted to moneymaking. Result: I was banned for this shit on MySpace and Google Groups.

4. Threw your blog into Browsershots (a very useful service that tests your site in 60 different browsers) twice a week.

5. Finally, I changed the entries in Wikipedia. Yes, I know that on Wikipedia there are nofollow and this link is temporary until someone notices mine and deletes (I hope not one of my readers), but I had to try. By the way, recording there for 2 days and brought me 5 transitions.

Well, I confessed my stupidities, now it's your turn. Do not hesitate, what nonsense did you do for the sake of traffic?
