I lead a small team of 40 people who work in the 24/7/365 mode. All the tasks assigned to me would have been impossible without a well-balanced team. The loss of working time by employees plays an important role in finding balance in the team, and the fight against the loss of time is one of the tasks of the manager, since there is nothing more expensive than time.

In my opinion, the loss of time can be divided into two groups, managed and unmanaged.
Managed loss of time:
1. Vacation - we are all human;
2. Study (Trainings, seminars, universities, etc.), business trips - a team of professionals;
3. Hospital - they can also be controlled!

Unmanaged loss of time:
1. Hospital - black box;
2. Dismissal - a new person;
I consider the most interesting losses of time to be hospital ones; they can and should be managed by me, they make up 3-4% or 1 person per year!

As can be seen from the graph, it is possible to reach the autumn and winter months with good morbidity rates due to the subsidization of vaccines against ARD. You can manage sick leave by distributing vacations and by carrying out social work on agency staff to vaccinate.
But there are those who just love to increase their weekends at the expense of sick leave.
