In three years, cumulative online sales in the US, China, Germany and the UK will reach $ 1 trillion

According to a joint study by the Dutch consulting company OC & C Strategy Consultants, Google and PayPal, the total amount of online sales in the USA, China, Germany and the UK will increase by 100% and reach a trillion dollars. To date, this amount is $ 490 billion.

Against the background of a difficult situation in the global economy, the international online retail market continues to grow. For example, when buying British goods online, the Chinese spend 2.7 times, and the Germans - 1.7 times more than the British themselves. The frequency of visits to British online stores, the Chinese are not inferior to residents of the UK.

The growth of the e-commerce market is due to the high demand for electronics, the continued spread of the Internet among the population and the introduction of Internet technologies in the business model.

“The number of consumers with access to the Internet is growing rapidly. Many consumers prefer to completely exclude from their PC Internet surfing and do it only with a smartphone. Our study shows that this leads to an increase in mobile transactions and that betting on mobile Internet sales is a prerequisite for international success in retail, ” reports Kommersant (in its own translation), the words of Google UK Sales Director Martin Bertizen.
