Institute of individual entrepreneurship in Russia may cancel

Business Ombudsman Boris Titov held a meeting with businessmen in Rostov. At the meeting, he stated that the Institute of Individual Entrepreneurship ( IP ) is planned to be abolished. At least, it will not be left in the form in which it exists now.

Titov believes that a lot has changed since the 90s (then the IP Institute was created). The boundaries between an individual and a legal entity are clearly blurred.

“We believe that the institution of an individual entrepreneur, created in the 1990s, may be canceled. After all, the tasks of individual entrepreneurs are no different from the tasks of a small enterprise. At the same time, an individual entrepreneur has the right to hire up to 100 people and can work in the same special regimes as small businesses, ”says Titov.

He also said that the issue is already being resolved with the uncertain status of freelancers, self-employed workers, reports Rossiyskaya Gazeta. They work for themselves, but their work activity is not documented in any way. In the fall, the State Duma will consider a proposal to oblige such people to obtain special patents:

“We hope that soon it will be possible to contact the MFC and simply buy the corresponding patent under the simplified scheme”
