Instagram continues to add new features to work with advertisers.

New features for advertisers will appear on the social network for sharing Instagram photos. In particular, the buttons "Buy Now", "Install Now" and "Register" will be added. They will allow to give direct links to third-party sites and mobile applications. In addition, there will be a demographic targeting, targeting by interests and API for effective management of large advertising campaigns. Testing new features will be held gradually. It starts at the end of the week.

Today, Instagram is targeting by gender, age, and country.

New buttons will allow the user to remain in Instagram even after switching to the advertisement that has interested him. After clicking on the button, a mini-browser window will appear. With it, the user can make a purchase, download an application, register on a third-party resource - in general, perform an action in accordance with an advertisement. Further, after closing the window, the user will automatically be on Instagram.

For network creators, it is important to keep users inside. This explains, for example, their refusal to embed photos from Instagram into the Twitter feed, reports Techcrunch.

Instagram is visited daily by over 200 million active users worldwide.

Debra Aho Williamson (Aho Williamson), chief analyst at eMarketer research firm, believes that Instagram will not be able to fully control the quality of the images, allowing advertisers to upload their pictures. And this may not like users.
