Photo: TassThe Ministry of Communications and Mass Media is already planning to conduct a procedure for protecting projects that claim to be supported by the developers of domestic software. At the same time, 200-500 million rubles will be allocated each year to support the approved projects,
writes RBC . Support for domestic software developers is part of an import substitution plan for software approved by the ministry on April 1.
The plan mentions 14 different areas of software development, including anti-virus software, server operating systems, database management systems and other possible projects. Officials plan to reduce imports of such software to 50% by 2025.
May 15 is the last day when applications for grants from the Ministry of Communications were accepted. A ministry spokesman said that the total number of project applications from IT companies and project consortia reached 70.

Unfortunately, the source of funding for projects was not called. At the same time, “they will be built on the principles of joint financing of development,” with the participation of the authors in financing their own projects.
