On June 1, a court hearing against
Yandex against
Google was held . To the accusation of unfair competition was added the charge under
Article 10 “Abuse of dominant position” of the Law “On Protection of Competition”. The court suspects Google of dominating the market of pre-installed app stores for the
Android mobile operating system.
“Further, the case will be considered under Article
14 and Article 10 against Google,” said Vladimir Kudryavtsev, head of the information technology department at the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service of Russia (FAS).
“We contacted via videoconferencing with Google’s technicians in California, they answered a number of technical questions. Most of the answers contained signs of a trade secret, so they were voiced in the absence of Yandex, but later a version containing no trade secret was brought to the representatives of this company, ”he said.
The next meeting on this case will be held in July,
reports Interfax. The exact date is not yet known. If a violation of Article 14 is proved, Google will have to eliminate the violations, as well as pay a fine. It may amount to 15% of the company's annual revenue, obtained illegally in the market of Android systems.

"Megamind"
wrote that in February, "Yandex" accused Google of violating fair competition and filed a complaint with the FAS. The trial was to be held in April. However, Google was able to achieve the
transfer of the court hearing on May 25. This was due to the fact that the company did not have time to prepare all the necessary documents.
On May 25, the consideration of the complaint was
postponed until June 1 for technical reasons.
