"Yandex" considers the bill "on the right to oblivion" unconstitutional

The company "Yandex" believes that the bill "on the right to oblivion", prepared in the State Duma, violates the constitutional right of citizens to search, access and obtain information. If such a law is adopted, access to a sufficiently large array of socially significant information can be very complicated, writes Medusa.

“The search engine operators are obliged to independently determine the accuracy of information posted on the Internet, the legality of its distribution, as well as the presence of signs of crime in certain events, to give legal qualification to such actions and determine the statute of limitations for criminal liability,” commented on the situation in Yandex ".

At the same time, all information will remain on the Web, and be distributed using other methods - for example, through social networks.
