The company
"Yandex" conducted a study of Russian online retailing. It turned out that 48% of online stores use ready-made online solutions for accepting payments in several ways: card, wallet, mobile payments.
86 thousand sites were analyzed. The most popular payment aggregators are
Robokassa (it is used by 21% of online stores),
Yandex.Cassa (19%) and
Interkassa (5%).
In addition, many online retailers accept payments from e-wallets:
Yandex.Money (47%),
Webmoney (44%),
Qiwi (39%),
PayPal (8%) and
RBK Money (3%).
46% of sites provide only one method of payment, 3% - two methods, 51% - more than three. Last year, the number of online stores accepting payments in one or two ways was 6% higher. “This indicates a general trend towards the use of various methods of accepting online payment and a gradual departure from the“ cash only at the time of delivery ”format,” concludes a Yandex.Money representative Yevgeny Arnautova.

According to the head of the e-commerce product development department at Alfa-Bank, Elena Bocharova, not all banks can offer the online retailer direct acquiring. Therefore, shopping is nothing, how to use the aggregator. This is a necessary measure. “Half of the connections of one means of payment through the payment aggregator indicate that the aggregator is an inefficient tool for the store. It’s more interesting to take online acquiring directly, ”she explains.
For stores with a turnover of up to one million rubles per month, the commission for using Internet acquiring will differ depending on the payment service: Yandex.Money will be 3.5%, Qiwi 4-5%, and Robokassa 5% . For stores with a monthly turnover of up to 10 million rubles, the commission is determined individually: sometimes it drops to 1.3%, one of the large banks
told Kommersant.
However, the use of an aggregator with one payment method is not always possible to identify with acquiring. “The aggregator assumes not only the function of accepting payments on the site, but also accepting cash upon delivery and transferring them to the store's current account,” emphasizes the general director of the
PayMaster aggregator
, Andrei Smirnov.
