Mary Meeker, partner of the venture capital fund Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, published the results of work on studying the dynamics of the number of web users. The results of the report, published by Miker, indicate a slowdown in the growth of the Internet audience, according to Vedomosti.

Thus, in 2014, the number of Web users reached 2.8 billion people. This is about 39% of the world's population. At the same time, the growth of the Internet audience in 2014 amounted to 8%, compared with 2013. At the same time, the growth rate of the Internet audience in previous years was higher: 10% for 2013 and 11% for 2012. Both now and then the main source of new Internet users were developing countries.

For example, in 2014, the number of Web users in India increased immediately by 33%, compared with 2013. In China, the same indicator was 7%, in the USA - 2%, in Brazil - about 4%. It is logical that most of the Network users are in Asia. Without China, the number of users in Asian countries is 28% of all web users. In China, the same - 23%. In Europe - 19%, in the USA - 10%, and in all other regions - another 21% of users.
