Italian taxi companies filed a lawsuit against Uber in April. In their lawsuit, they complained about the dumping in the transportation market, due to the participation in the business of uncertified taxi drivers. According to the plaintiffs, the work of Ubera is possible only because of unfair competition from the service.

However, not everyone agrees with the court ruling. For example, the Italian consumer association Codacons believes that the ban on Uber is the wrong decision, which limits the choice of citizens.
Note that the work of Uber is prohibited not for the first time. For example, the service has already been banned in Spain and the Netherlands.
