Daimler and Qualcomm are working on wireless charging of electric vehicles.

German automaker Daimler and American microprocessor developer Qualcomm are working on wireless charging systems for electric vehicles.

The companies spoke about their partnership in several areas: charging of electric vehicles, charging smartphones and tablets in vehicles, car communication using 3G and 4G technologies, active safety systems.

Qualcomm's wireless electric car charging technology requires a circuit to be installed on the bottom of the car, and a second circuit on the floor of the garage. For charging, you need to correctly place the transport relative to the second circuit.
