Er-Telecom entered the Moscow B2B market and is trying to enter the retail market of Moscow

In the corporate segment, the revenue of the Er-Telecom company is growing much faster than in the retail segment. General Director Andrei Semerikov claims that revenue from pay-TV, broadband access (BBA) and private telephony service users has increased by 9%. The total revenues of the holding increased by 16% - up to 22 billion rubles.

In 2013, in the corporate segment, revenue grew by 56%, and in the private sector - by 25%. The growth in revenue in 2014 is due to the company's entry into the corporate segments of the Moscow markets and regions. In 2014, for the first time, state structures became customers of Er-Telecom.

However, the company still does not serve retail customers in Moscow. In 2014, Er-Telecom was planning to acquire the operator Akado , which could provide access to this segment of the Moscow market. The deal was estimated at $ 650-700 million. But in May 2014, Viktor Vekselberg announced that “Akado” would not be sold. He owns a 67% stake in the company.

According to TASS, negotiations on the acquisition were resumed on May 20 of this year. “At the end of yesterday’s meeting we came to the general conclusion that regardless of whether or not there would be a deal, our mutual complementarity gives us opportunities for cooperation now, regardless of merger or takeover,” said Deputy General Director of ER-Telecom JSC Holding Elena Ventslavovich.

According to the estimates of Konstantin Ankilov, General Director of TMT Consulting , the volume of the fixed-line corporate market in Moscow in 2014 amounted to 43 billion rubles. The representative of “Akado” Denis Rychka estimates go at 32 billion. He claims that his company's share in this market is about 20%. Ankilov believes that this year the income from fixed-line services in Russia will decrease by 2% due to a decrease in demand for them.

MTS is not afraid of competition - the GPON fiber optic network of its subsidiary MGTS satisfies all the demands of corporate and government customers, operator representative Dmitry Solodovnikov told Vedomosti.

VimpelCom does not feel any noticeable competition from Er-Telecom, said VimpelCom's representative, Anna Aybasheva.

In March, Megamind wrote that Er-Telecom plans to double its business in the next 5 years at a growth rate of 15-18% per year. The company is not going to hold an IPO in the near future, but hopes that it will be able to raise at least $ 500 million without losing control.

The company "Er-Telecom" was founded in 2001 in Perm. Now the company operates in 56 cities. Last year, Er-Telecom ranked second in the number of users (2.713 million) in the broadband access market with a market share of 9%. In the TV market, he took 4th place with a market share of 7%. “Er-Telecom” is one of the largest operators of pay TV and broadband Internet access.
