
Lenovo in the IV fiscal quarter (January-March 2015)
reduced its net profit by 36.7% to $ 100 million compared with $ 158 million in the same period last year. At the same time, quarterly revenue increased by 21%, amounting to $ 11.3 billion.
The decline in quarterly indicators is largely
associated with expenses incurred as a result of the acquisition of third-party assets: the acquisition of unprofitable mobile phone manufacturer Motorola Mobility from Google Inc. for $ 2.91 billion and budget server business from International Business Machines Corp. for $ 2.1 billion
The purchase of Motorola made Lenovo the third largest smartphone vendor in the world. Their deliveries
increased by 50% and amounted to 76 million copies. The highest demand for smartphones is in China - out of 76 million, the share of this country accounted for 59%.
The computer business, which is currently the most profitable asset of the company, also noted growth: Lenovo
produced 13.3 million PCs, which is 2.7% more than a year earlier, which corresponds to 19.5% of the global computer market.

Since the beginning of this year, the company's capitalization has
increased by 32% compared with a 17% increase in the Hang Seng stock index.
