The world's largest photo bank,
Getty Images, decided to open a representative office in Russia. His partner in our country is the operator
Gallo Images .
Dmitry Oposhnyansky, General Director of Gallo Images Rus, explained that the photo bank is seeking greater control over their business in Russia: to invest, to cooperate more actively with Russian photographers, to introduce new subscription schemes. So, recently a new service appeared - access to the
iStock bank by
wire transfer.
Gallo Images offers a service program that takes into account the nuances of Russian legislation. It will significantly save time working with documentation.

The volume of investments in the opening of a representative office in Russia has not been disclosed. Today, the Russian representative office employs 12 full-time employees, 7 managers and 8 freelancers,
reports Sostav.ru.
Dmitry Oposhnyansky believes that this staff is enough for quality work:
It is no secret that the staff of the majority of Russian photo agencies today is significantly exaggerated. Our service program allowed it to be reduced to what was needed and, most importantly, to simplify the work of employees with papers. We live in the age of digital, so we see no need to open a huge office with a hundred or two employees. We have invested quite large funds in sales automation, having created an excellent backup / crm system, which allows us to carry out a huge amount of work with minimal time spent by our employees.
The company plans to actively develop a differentiated monetization system. The focus will be on working with thematic collections (news, fashion, sports), subscribers, credits for buying images from
Thinkstock and iStock, and individual photos. In addition, Gallo Images Rus will be able to organize turnkey advertising shootings for clients, anywhere in the world and with the participation of stars.
The company is going to work not only in Moscow. Further progress is planned in the regions and countries of the CIS. Gallo Images Rus already cooperates with clients from Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Azerbaijan, said Dmitry Oposhnyansky.
Gallo Images is also a representative of Getty Images in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Africa.
Getty Images was founded in 1995 by Mark Getty and Jonathan Klein. Today the company is the largest player in the global market for photos, videos and music. Photobank has about 100 million photos.
