writes “The Agency for Urban News“ Moscow ”. Vladimir Krupennikov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, cited data on legal sales of video content during the Safe Internet Forum.
“Thanks to the“ anti-piracy ”law, according to the Ministry of Communications, sales of TV shows and movies on the Internet have doubled, and the number of users who pay for legal content has increased from six to 12 million. The “anti-piracy” law itself was adopted in the Russian Federation in the summer of 2013. This law allows you to block sites on which pirated content was found after the copyright holder appealed to the court. In addition, on May 1, 2015, amendments came into force that extend the scope of the main law to such types of content as music, lyrics, software (photos are not included in this list).
