Lev Leviev and Vyacheslav Mirilashvili, former investors of the VKontakte social network, have invested in the Israeli company Optishell, which is developing a technology for detecting illegal filming in a movie theater, according to RBC publication, citing Leviev himself and Optishell founder Yossi Cohen.
Vaizra Capital was founded in 2011 by two former shareholders of Vkontakte Leviev and Mirilashvili. Among the current well-known investment fund: "Ostrovok.ru", Livetex, Coub, data center "Selektel" and the publishing house "Committee".
According to RBC sources, the transaction amount was $ 500 thousand.

The main development of Optishell is the technology of protection against pirates who record new items right from the screen in the cinema. The company has created an optical instrument that "sees" the reflection of the lenses of a video camera and records the location of the person making the shooting in the hall.
According to Leviev, negotiations on cooperation between Optishell and the first client - the American company Christie (engaged in visualization technologies and the production of projectors, including widescreen ones for cinemas), were conducted for two years. Christie eventually became interested in Optishell technology and tested the technology in one of the Los Angeles cinemas. During the experiment, specially hired people hid in the halls with video cameras, and each time Optishell was able to detect hidden photography.
Rose100 and Rose200 represent the two main commercial products of Optishell. The first consists of a detector installed near the screen and a software shell that sends notifications (and warnings) to the dispatcher's console. Rose200 is an advanced system that, in addition to the functionality of the “100” model, is able to control free riders in real time by comparing the number of tickets sold with the number of viewers in the hall.
