In the first quarter of 2015, the advertising market in the country fell by 17% compared with the same period in 2014,

The advertising market in Russia in the first quarter of 2015 amounted to 63.5 billion rubles, as
calculated by the Association of Switching Agencies of Russia .
The revenues of the publishers of newspapers and magazines fell by a third to 5 billion rubles, radio stations - by a quarter to 2.5 billion, outdoor advertising - by a quarter to 7.3 billion. Television advertising declined by 22% to 30.6 billion.
Internet advertising grew by 9% to 18.1 billion. At the same time, display advertising was reduced by 18%, and growth was due to an increase in spending on contextual advertising by 16%.

CTC Media's general director, Juliana Slashcheva, reported that the television advertising market had shrunk by 18–20%, and that in the second half of the year, the state would improve. Andrei Brajovic, CEO of the OMD MD PHD Group advertising group, agrees with the forecast of an improvement in the 3-4 quarters of 2015.
