Google CEO supports the pursuit of Yahoo independence

“Yahoo’s independence is important for competition in the Internet search and online advertising markets,” said Eric Schmidt, Google’s CEO, in an interview.

“We fully support Yahoo’s decision to abandon the deal with Microsoft. For us there is no doubt that the independence of this company is useful for the Internet market. ”

Judging by his words, Google may possibly help Yahoo avoid Microsoft's takeover.
