This question was already raised at the end of March, and the deal was tentatively approved. However, FreshTel has debts to Vnesheconombank, which, if the operator is purchased, will go to Rostelecom. It could also affect the value of the transaction.
“On the basis of the agreements reached with Vnesheconombank, a new independent evaluation of FreshTel was conducted, and the issue of the transaction was submitted for reconsideration by the board of directors of Rostelecom,” the operator’s spokesman said.

According to the newspaper "Kommersant", the amount of the transaction will not change. Rostelecom will buy all four companies for 210 million rubles.
The acquisition of FreshTel will provide Rostelecom with a reduction in the cost of building and operating the “last mile” networks in areas with low population density. This “will help to significantly expand the geography and increase the commercial viability of providing broadband services to the population living in such territories,” Rostelecom said.
