Amazon buys startup ClusterK

Amazon is strengthening its position in the cloud. Today, Amazon, the world's largest provider of cloud infrastructure to launch applications. According to Venturebeat, $ 20-50 million was paid for a startup. In the future, ClusterK technologies will be integrated into the company's infrastructure.

ClusterK has developed an ingenious way to launch AWS-based applications. The cost of services provided by a startup is ten times less than the original Amazon. However, ClusterK is not a competitor to Amazon. Just allows you to use AWS services cheaper.

Yesterday, Amazon paid Marc Parrish, a startup investor. A great deal for the company, allowing Amazon to take a leading position and continue to leave competitors far behind. Both Microsoft Azure and the Google Cloud Platform will be forced to lower prices in order to remain in general.

The deal suggests that in the coming months and years, Amazon will use startup practices as a platform for low-cost cloud application deployment.

I previously wrote about Amazon’s purchase of 2lemetry telemetry startup . The company also bought Amiato. So the position in which the company sees itself as a monster of cloud technologies is quite understandable.

It is reported that the ClusterK team will move and will work at Amazon headquarters in Seattle. Mark Parrish expects ClusterK founder and CEO Dmitry Pushkarev to occupy a significant position in the AWS structure.

Back in February, ClusterK announced a round of seed investment in which a startup raised $ 1.2 million. Among a number of investors, Rally Ventures, the Data Collective, the Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research and several angelic investors lit up. ClusterK was founded in 2013 in Palo Alto, California.
