Simplified kikstarter on your startup website or how to get the first finance
Today I want to share with you a story of small success, which gave our team additional motivation to develop Surprise Me - a platform for creating quests in the form of personal mobile applications .
A couple of days ago, a friend threw off a link to the announcement with information about the launch of the new service yasobe.ru, where you can collect money for a gift to a friend or for a good deed using the beautiful personalized Yandex.Money page.
The idea is not new and it was possible to create forms for collecting money long ago, but it was the positioning of the service that led me to the idea: “Why not arrange kikstarter directly on the site of our startup Surprise Me?”
After three minutes of setting up, I place a fundraising form for launching our service on the Surprise Me project site. When setting up the form, the required name fields and email were marked with mandatory input fields in order to know their characters by sight and thank them for supporting the project. At the same time, a module with a comment was placed on the form, in which everyone can write their wishes as a token of gratitude from the Surprise Me service.
To my surprise, we received the first transfer of 50 rubles in 1.5 minutes after placing the form on the site. Yes, the amount is small, but this moment pleased our team and gave even more strength and motivation. Now I wonder what bonus to give to those who will support the project. The first thing that comes to mind is to provide free access to the service when the project starts. In any case, we don’t forget our heroes and think of the best way to thank them for supporting the project. We are also thinking of placing counters that will allow us to reflect the amount of funds transferred and users who supported us. We are not sure of the need to display this information and would like to hear your opinions, dear readers. Do we need to load the page of the site with extra information and will this information motivate and inspire confidence among users?
