Capgemini Acquires Igate

French IT company Capgemini is going to buy Igate for $ 4 billion in order to expand its presence in the North American market.

The acquisition of Igate will help the French company to strengthen its areas of infrastructure services, business process outsourcing and engineering services, as well as contribute to the growth of Capgemini profits by 12% in 2016 and 16% in 2017

Income of the combined company in 2015 will amount to 13.6 billion dollars. Its staff will be 190 thousand people, operating profit margin - 10%.

Capgemini will finance the deal with its own resources, and also intends to raise funds through the placement of shares and debt securities.

Boards of directors of both companies and part of Igate shareholders approved the merger. The transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of this year.
