Software for recording podcasts

This week Habrahabr will open the possibility to publish podcasts in public access. This is a completely new thing, not yet as common as blogging, for example, so today I wondered: how to record podcasts?

Judging by the reviews, the best program for recording podcasts is Audacity . This is a free open source audio editor. It works under Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, GNU / Linux and other operating systems.

Perhaps there are other programs that are more convenient, and if someone can give advice, I would be grateful, because for me in podcasting everything is just beginning. :)
