InfoWatch increased revenue by 67% in 2014 due to the crisis

InfoWatch, a company that develops information security solutions, was able to increase revenue in 2014 to 831 million rubles, that is, by 67%, Vedomosti reports . The bulk of the revenue (77%) was obtained thanks to DLP solutions. The revenue from the sale of such decisions grew in 2014 by 57% to 639 million rubles.

In addition, revenue growth from projects in state-owned companies was recorded, from 17% in 2013 to 27% in 2014. At the same time, InfoWatch brought about a quarter of revenue to financial institutions, 19% in the energy sector.

According to InfoWatch Executive Director Vsevolod Ivanov, this growth is not accidental, it can be explained both by external and internal reasons. One of the most active growth factors is market readiness to protect against internal threats. The company's customers are beginning to understand that it is IT solutions that can significantly reduce the losses of companies from theft, corruption and deliberate opposition to normal operations. Now, in a crisis, many threats have become much sharper, and the management of client companies has begun to think about countering threats.

As for InfoWatch competitors, such companies also speak of significant growth. But competitors growth is still lower than that of InfoWatch. So, the company Zecurion in 2014 showed a revenue growth of 35%.

According to some experts close to InfoWatch, the growth rate of revenue of this company raises questions, and may be somewhat overestimated, approximately 2-2.5 times.

Natalia Lezina, a representative of InfoWatch, argues that all the numbers are correct, and the company simply cannot publish numbers that do not coincide with real reporting. The fact is that now the company is attracting international investment, and if investors caught the company in incorrect reporting, then there would be problems with investments.
