Eaze, a service for delivering medical marijuana to US residents, raised $ 10 million from
DCM Ventures ,
Fresh VC ,
500 Startups and
Casa Verde Capital funds, which is owned by rapper Snoop Dog. This was
reported by the publication of the New York Post.
Eaze was founded by Keith McCarthy, an ex-employee of the
Yammer social network. The service is a mobile application. With it, users leave their orders.
The volume of the startup’s first investments in November last year amounted to $ 1.5 million. Prior to that, no one investor in marijuana had ever invested international investors. During the 9 months of its existence, Eaze carried out about 30,000 deliveries. The company plans to expand and plans to hire 50 more employees.

According to The Christian Science Monitor, Eaze still delivered orders only in California. But after such a successful round of financing, the company will start working in several new states at once: Nevada, Arizona, Washington, Colorado and Oregon.
The legal distribution of medical marijuana is permitted in 20 US states. The US government generally does not approve its storage and use. At the federal level, this remains a crime.
