Qiwi can buy Contact money transfer system from new owners
According to the newspaper Kommersant, the Otkritie group gained full control over the Contact money transfer system. The group consolidated 100% of its capital. However, the management of "Discovery" plans to sell Contact. It is known that Qiwi is interested in this.
Non-profit credit organization "Rapida" owns 100% Contact. However, 70% of Rapida belongs to the Otkritie group. In addition, recently the control over the remaining 30% of Rapida was gained by Dmitry Pashenin, General Director of Vector Leasing, who is also related to Otkritie. Prior to this, the share was owned by Abdulzhelil Abdulkerimov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Russlavbank.

In November 2014, Qiwi also negotiated the acquisition of a large Unistream transfer system for $ 100 million, but the deal did not take place due to the fall of the ruble at the end of last year.
