Cisco is going to purchase Embrane

Cisco plans to acquire Embrane, a developer of a lifecycle management platform for network services. The company explains its step by the fact that in our immediate need was the construction of the cloud.

The acquisition will allow the company to accelerate the promotion of virtualization and automation to meet the needs of customers, as well as help implement a strategy that provides customers with the freedom of choice.

Embrane employees will work in the Cisco Insieme division, which is developing ACI, a platform for building network services. The agreement is expected to be signed in May. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Earlier, Cisco published a report where it says that the company invested $ 6 million in Embrane.
