The Federal Tax Service of Russia is going to sue Look At Media for tax evasion. The lawsuit was filed against LEM Russia LLC, an operating company of the holding in Russia. The holding includes publications such as The Village, Look At Media, Wonderzine and Furfur. Already on April 7, the claim will be considered by the Moscow Arbitration Court,
writes Kommersant .
According to LAM co-founder Alexei Ametov, the company previously had tax arrears, which is now practically repaid, except for the balance of 2 million rubles. In addition, in March, more than 60 freelance employees of the company announced a delay in fees from the company. Alexey Ametov
then announced the termination of cooperation with freelance writers until June 1.
Nevertheless, Ametov reported on the company's profitability, as evidenced by the revenue of 200 million rubles in the first ten months of 2014.
An interesting point is that usually the tax collects funds from debtors through the court, writing off money from the company's account. This is a
standard process . If the tax lawsuit sues for bankruptcy, most likely there is not enough money in the defendant’s account to pay taxes.

In addition, in
accordance with paragraph 2 of Law No. 345- “On Amendments to Article 855 of Part Two of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation”, funds are written off both for the remuneration of employees and on behalf of the tax authorities in a single order. This means that if wage payments were created earlier, they will be paid first.
