In the depths of
The Pirate Bay torrent tracker, work is underway to create a new technology to encrypt Internet traffic.
The project, called
IPETEE (Transparent end-to-end encryption for the Internets), is still in its initial stages of development. Its essence is to encrypt traffic at the network level, and not in the old manner, at the application level.
According to the developers, the encryption module will be installed as an independent program (or add-on to the client program), which in the background will process incoming and outgoing traffic.

Interestingly, the "pirates" are not going to limit themselves to just the traffic of the torrent networks. It may well be that (if successfully implemented, of course), the IPETEE protocol created in The Pirate Bay will be used in the future to encrypt everything and everything: email, IP telephony, and surfing.
